Twelve suspected gang members have been arrested and charged by the St. Catherine South Police, since the start of the year.

Commanding Officer, Senior Superintendent Christopher Phillips made the revelation during a digital town hall meeting, last evening (April 3).

Noting that gangs are wreaking havoc on the nation, SSP Phillips said it is important that such networks are dismantled.

He said the gang members charged are affiliated with the Umbrella and Dark Knight Stinger gangs.

Meantime, SSP Phillips said 15 guns have been seized in the division since January.
