16-year-old boy among Jamaica’s 6 recently reported Covid-19 related deaths

A Sixteen year old St. Catherine boy is among the 6 latest Covid-19 related deaths reported by the Health Ministry.

The country’s death toll is now 2, 615.

The Health Ministry says, the deaths occurred between August last year and January this year.

The deceased lived in Manchester, St. Ann, St. Catherine and Kingston and St. Andrew. 14 other deaths are under investigation.

Meantime, 559 more persons are hospitalized with Covid-19.

129 of them are moderately ill, 51 are severely ill and 25 are critically ill.

527 more persons have tested positive for the virus, pushing the case count to 121,963.

They range in age from 1 day to 98 years.

The positivity rate is 35.7 per cent.

Meantime, 198 more persons have recovered, pushing total recoveries to 68,749.
