The Health Ministry is reporting 17 more deaths from COVID 19, increasing the tally to 860. The deaths occurred between January 18 and Friday, May 14.
9 of the deceased are from Manchester. The seven males and two females range in age from 40 to 89 years
The others are two females from Trelawny aged 60 and 80, three other women from Clarendon, St James and Kingston and St Andrew aged 72, 90 and 75 and three men from St James, Portland and St Thomas aged 71, 65 and 73.
Another death is under investigation.
Meanwhile, there are 86 new cases, pushing the case count to 47 thousand 319.
52 are females and 34 are males ranging in age from 1 to 90 years. St Ann had the highest number of cases with 21 followed by St Catherine with 17. Trelawny had no new case.
The positivity rate was 12.1 percent.
181 patients are in hospital with 24 being critically ill and 62 being moderately ill.
111 persons have recovered.
