2 dead 6 injured in 3 accidents

Two persons were killed and six others injured in separate motor vehicle accidents between Sunday and Monday January 30

Dead are 25 year old Christopher Cooper of Portmore ST  Catherine and 27 year old Rodney Phillips of Roehampton District, ST James .

In the latest incident, police say Cooper died as a result of injuries sustained in a  three vehicle collision along the Salt Marsh main road in Trelawny yesterday.

Reports from Falmouth Police  are that  sometime after one p-m, the driver of a Nissan AD Wagon Expert was overtaking a line of traffic when the driver lost control and collided into cooper’s Toyota motor car and then  into another vehicle.

Cooper and three others were rushed to hospital where he died.

Meanwhile a woman, man and a baby were injured in a two vehicle collision along the Point Hill Main Road in Hanover.

Reports are that about 1:00 pm, the three were travelling in a silver Toyota corolla motor from Hopewell towards Montego Bay.  It’s reported that another car crashed into the vehicle.

And on Sunday Phillips died as a result of injuries he received during a motor vehicle collision on the Roehampton Main Road.

Reports from the anchovy police are that about 3:00 a.m., Phillips was riding his motorcycle  when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a parked truck.
