by March 10th, 2018

Two men were killed and two others injured following a motor vehicle crash at the roundabout of the Sangster International Airport on Queens Drive, Montego Bay St. James this morning.

Dead are 24 year old Odane Smith and 25-year-old Sheldon Hylton, both of Bamboo Lawn, in Lilliput.

Reports from the Mount Salem police are that about 6:15 a.m., Hylton and Smith were passengers in a Nissan Tiida motor car that was heading towards Downtown Montego Bay along the Flanker main road, when the driver allegedly lost control of the motor vehicle, which crashed into the ‘Welcome to Montego Bay’ sign post.

Head of the Traffic and Highway Division, Acting Senior Superintendent Courtney Coubrie says the Nissan Tiida motorcar became airborne and that both men were thrown from the vehicle.

He says the two injured men trapped inside the vehicle were later rescued.

In the meanwhile, a Lilliput resident reacted to the horrific crash.
