2 more persons died from the coronavirus on Saturday. They are an 82-year-old female from St. Catherine and a 92-year-old male from Manchester.
The number of deaths stands at 231.
Meanwhile, 104 new COVID 19 cases were recorded.
They consist of 48 males and 56 females ranging in age from, 2 years to 87 years.
St Catherine had the highest number of cases 35, Kingston and St Andrew 20, St James 12, St Mary 9, Hanover and st ann 8 each Manchester 5, Westmoreland, Trelawny and St Elizabeth 2 cases each and Clarendon 1 case.
20 persons recovered pushing that total to 5,248. There are 4,274 active cases.
78 persons are hospitalized. 21 persons are moderately ill and 6 are critically ill.
