2 Teen boys charged in relation to murder of Raven Wilson

The St. Ann police have charged two teenage boys in relation to the death of Raven Wilson.

The identities of boys cannot be released as they are both 15 years old.

Head of the St. Ann police Senior Superintendent Michael Smith said one boy is charged with murder, while the other is changed with accessory after the fact to murder.

The charges follow a decision by the Director of Public Prosecution on Thursday that they be charged.

The boys were taken to court on Thursday where the matter was mentioned and the boys remanded into custody until a later date.

Both boys are being held outside the parish.

Meantime, SSP Smith noted that some residents of Top Road in St. Ann’s Bay are still upset over the death of Raven.

The body of 14 year-old Ocho Rios High School student, Raven Wilson of Top Road in St. Ann’s Bay, was discovered on October 21 in a garbage bag, in her community.

SSP Smith said the police community safety branch along with some counsellors, continue to carry out intervention with residents.

He called for residents to be responsible and allow the police to do the necessary investigations.
