Three women died in a car crash at the intersection of the Ironshore and Morgans Road in St. James, early this morning (October 23).

Reports are that the accident occurred about 12:20 am.

It’s further reported that the crash involved a red Subaru BRZ Coupe motor car, and a silver 2013 Toyota Corolla Axio Sedan motor car.

The three women  said to be from Florida in the United States, were among five people in Axio.

It’s understood that  they were flung from the vehicle after the collision, another passenger has been hospitalized in serious but stable condition.

Vice Chairman of the National Road Safety Council, Dr. Lucien Jones lamented the death of the women, saying the crash was tragic and preventable.
