315 New COVID 19 cases and 4 Deaths

Jamaica recorded 315 new COVID 19 cases Monday pushing the case count to 41,328.   Of the new cases, 170 are females and 144 are males, with one under investigation.

Their ages range from 2 months to 96 years.   A breakdown by parish shows that Kingston and St. Andrew recorded the highest number of cases with 66, while St. Catherine followed with 48.

St Ann had 38, Westmoreland 32, Trelawny 22, St. Elizabeth 20, St. James and Clarendon 18 each, Manchester 17, Hanover and St. Mary 12 each, St. Thomas 11 and Portland 1.

Meantime, four more persons have died from COVID 19, pushing the death toll to 622.

They are a 33-year-old female from St. Catherine, two males from Kingston and St. Andrew aged 53 and 88; and a 72-year-old female from Portland.

There is one coincidental death, while 8 deaths are under investigation.  There are 388 COVID-19 hospitalizations, with 31 patients moderately ill and 33 patients critically ill.

However, 147 have recovered pushing total recoveries to 18,444.  There are 21,971 active cases.
