Jamaica recorded 36 new covid-19 cases yesterday (November 8).
No death was reported.
Of the new cases, 16 are males and 20 females with ages ranging from 1 to 73 years.
The island’s covid-19 count is now 9,542.
Trelawny recorded the highest number of cases with 6, followed by Kingston and St. Andrew with 5.
Hanover, Portland, St. Ann, and Westmoreland recorded 4 cases each; St. Catherine saw 3 cases of the virus, and Manchester, St. Elizabeth, and St. James had 2 each.
Meanwhile, 18 new recoveries have pushed the island’s recovery tally to 4,952.
There are 4,242 cases active.
Seventy-four persons are hospitalized, 20 are moderately ill, and 5 critically ill.
