394 persons hospitalised with Covid-19; 152 new cases recorded

Three hundred and ninety-four (394) persons are hospitalised with Covid-19.

The Health and Wellness Ministry says, 84 of them are moderately ill, 50 are severely ill and 12 are critically ill.

Meantime, a 79-year-old male from Clarendon and a 75-year-old male from Trelawny are the latest persons to die from Covid-19.

The country’s death toll now stands at 2,708.

The Health Ministry says there are two coincidental deaths, while 6 other deaths are under investigation.

Meanwhile, 152 more persons have tested positive for the virus, pushing the case count to 126,589.

Of the new cases, 82 are females and 70 are males.

They range in age from 4 months to 95 years.

Kingston and St. Andrew recorded the highest number of cases with 53, while St. Catherine followed with 26.

The positivity rate is 14.9%

There are 242 more recoveries, pushing that tally to 72,219.
