Covid-19 hospitalizations have surpassed 400.

The Health Ministry says 424 persons are hospitalized due to Covid-19, up from the 392 reported yesterday (January 14).

Among them, 46 are severely ill, 85 are moderately ill and 8 are critically ill.

Meantime, 101 more persons have recovered, pushing that tally to 67,047.

5 more persons have died pushing the death toll to 2,522.

The deceased are 2 males and 3 females ranging in age from 33 to 79 years.

They lived in St. Ann, St. Catherine, Portland and Kingston and St. Andrew.

13 other deaths are now under investigation.

Meantime, 1,267 new cases were recorded yesterday, pushing the case count to 110,250.

Of the new cases 776 are females, 490 are males while 1 is under investigation.

They range in age from 2 months to 98 years.

The positivity rate is 59.6 per cent.

All parishes recorded new cases.

Kingston and St. Andrew recorded the highest with 358, followed by St. Catherine with 279.
