The Health Ministry has reported two new COVID-19 related deaths.
They are a 65-year-old male from Westmoreland who died last year, and a 94-year old female from St. Catherine who died this month.
Meanwhile, 45 people tested positive for COVID-19. They consist of 19 males and 26 females, ranging in age from 2 to 92 years. St. James had the highest case count with 12 persons followed by Kingston and St. Andrew with 9.
The positivity rate is 6.9%.
The Ministry notes 71 persons are still hospitalized with the virus. Fourteen of them are moderately ill, 3 are severely ill, and 2 are critically ill.
