Police have released the identities of five of six alleged gunmen who were killed in a gun battle with members of the security forces Saturday evening in Goodwill ST James.

Those  killed are said to be members of the  Ski Mask Gang. They are Oswyn Jarrett also called Ski Mask, Marlon Samuels called Brutus and Deno Pryce called Buju.

The other two are known only by their aliases. They are ‘Shenky’ and ‘Fargo’.

Head of the ST James Police Senior Superintendent Marlon Nesbeth says the incident occurred sometime after 9 o’clock last evening, while a police/military team was carrying out operations in the area. The men were travelling in a taxi.

The six men were pronounced dead at hospital. Four guns were recovered.  Two police officers were shot and wounded in the incident and were treated at hospital.

SSP Nesbeth says the men were known to be responsible for several murders in ST James.

The  Independent Commission of Investigations INDECOM has launched an investigation into the fatal shooting of the six men
