All-rounder Sunil Narine was the lone West Indian named to the ESPNcricinfo Indian Premier League Team of the Season.
Narine, who has so far compiled 327 runs and 16 wickets for two-time winners Kolkata Knight Riders, earned a spot after becoming only the fourth player to score more than 300 runs and take more than 15 wickets in an IPL season after Shane Watson, Dwayne Bravo and Jacques Kallis.
The Trinidadian also has the best Smart Strike Rate (234.52) among batsmen with at least 200 runs this season while his Smart Economy Rate of 6.34 is the 6th best among 31 bowlers to have bowled at least 30 overs.
He is joined on the team of the season by Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper Kane Williamson who finished as the second highest scorer in the league phase with eight half-centuries in 14 innings while accumulating 661 runs at an average of 60.
Completing the eleven are Lokesh Rahul, Ambati Rayudu, Rishab Pant, Dinesh Karthick, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Rashid Khan, Umesh Yadav, Andrew Tye and Jasprit Bumrah who were the joint highest wicket takers at the death with 13 scalps apiece
