Jermaine Levy named in Jamaica Scorpions squad

by December 5th, 2018

Debutante pacer Jermaine Levy has been included in Jamaica’s thirteen man squad for the West Indies Four Day Championship opening round encounter against Barbados Pride next week

Levy, who represents Southern Seals in the JCA Super League, picked up ten wickets in four games while representing the CCC Marooners who won the Regional Super 50 tournament.

He joins the team that remains largely unchanged from last year’s competition.

“It’s an honour to be selected for participation; every young cricketer aspires to represent his country and here in the Caribbean, to represent the West Indies in every format of the game. This selection takes me one step closer to realizing my childhood dreams. Each level of participation opens up more opportunities to grow, develop and earn,” said an excited Levy.

The squad to be captained by Paul Palmer Jr includes veteran left arm orthodox spinner Nikita Miller as well as Jermaine Blackwood, Chadwick Walton, Andre McCarthy, John Campbell and Steven Taylor.

The rest of the squad includes Aldaine Thomas, Kenroy Williams, Dennis Bulli, Derval Green and Reynard Leveridge.

The Jamaica Scorpions depart for Barbados on Monday, December 10.
