9 males including leader of controversial St. James based church remain in police custody

Several female congregants of a religious establishment in St. James which was the scene of a cult-like ritual on Sunday and who were charged under the Disaster Risk Management Act, have been bailed.

The women were picked-up by the police following the incident at the Pathways International Kingdom Restoration Ministries, which left three persons dead and three others wounded.

The police say minor charges were laid against the women, all of whom have been offered bail, except a police woman who was also a congregant.

Meantime, 9 males including the leader of the establishment remain in police custody.

Homicide and wounding charges are expected to be laid against them.
