9 people were shot, 1 fatally in Donmair Close, Kingston 19 early this morning (May 28).

The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Sanjay Cousins of Ambrook Lane, Kingston 10.

Reports are that at about 12:20 am, Cousins was among a group of persons allegedly gambling when they were pounced upon by gunmen who opened fire at them.

Cousins and 8 other persons were shot.

They were taken to hospital where cousins was pronounced dead.
