Dancehall artiste Quada gets bail

by January 17th, 2020

Dancehall artiste Quada, who is facing a murder charge, has been granted $500,000 bail.

Quada, whose real name is Shauguelle Clarke, appeared before Justice Chester Crooks in the Kingston and St Andrew parish court, today.

The 23 year old recording artiste of Buff Bay, Portland is charged with murder and arson.

As a condition of bail, he is to surrender his travel documents.

Clarke will return to court on January 27.

Detectives at the Constant Spring police station in St. Andrew arrested Clarke, earlier this week, for the murder of 30-year-old Miguel Williams in Sterling Castle Heights, St. Andrew.

Clarke had turned himself in to the police, accompanied by his attorney, and was charged following a question and answer session with detectives, on Tuesday, January 14.

Reports are that on April 17, 2019, Williams was allegedly beaten, set ablaze and his house torched by Clarke and others, following allegations of a connection to the murder of 8 year old Shantae Skyers.

Clarke joins fellow accused, 30-year-old Andrew Breakcliffe, otherwise called ‘Grinch’, of Sterling Castle Heights, who is also charged with murder and arson.
