Suspect held in relation to murder of Galen Buchanan

The man who was being sought for questioning in relation to the killing of 8 year old Galen Buchanan, has been arrested.

 

Head of the constabulary communications unit Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay confirmed reports that the man was held in Trelawny this morning.

 

The man, who goes by the names ‘Phillip Williams’, ‘Phillip Rose’, ‘Rochester Rose’ and ‘Ochester Rose’, had been listed as a person of interest in relation to the death of Galen Buchanan, of Spanish Town road in Kingston.

 

Reports are that Galen was reported as missing, and it’s alleged that he was last seen in the company of his step father.

 

On Thursday, the search for the missing child ended in tragedy when his body, with the hands tied behind him, was found in the harbour at Royal Palm, Bournemouth Gardens in Kingston 2.

 

The Child Protection and Family Services Agency is offering support and counselling for the relatives of Buchanan.
