Jamaican-born British actor, Michael Ward who plays the role of Jamie, on Netflix’s Top Boy will return for Season 2 of the British Gang Drama series.

The streaming service made the announcement on social media this week, stating, “Confirmed: Season 2 of Top Boy is happening.” Filming is expected to begin this spring.

Top Boy, a Drake-produced Netflix television show is a crime drama set in East London. It was revived last year by the Canadian rapper after two seasons airing in the UK between 2011 and 2013. The series follows rival gangs as they battle for supremacy over the area’s lucrative drug trade.

Last year, Michael Ward who experienced a breakout year, won the EE Rising Star BAFTA Award for his brilliant performances in Top Boy.
