Stafanie Taylor ruled out of Windies Women final Group B match

by March 2nd, 2020

Captain Stafanie Taylor has been ruled out of the West Indies Women team for the final Group B match at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup against South Africa at the Sydney Showground on March 3.

Taylor suffered a right-side groin strain which forced her to retire hurt in the 46 runs loss to England in Sydney on Sunday that ruled the Windies Women out of a place in the semi-finals.

No replacement player has been requested and Taylor will stay with the West Indies team to travel home together to the Caribbean at the end of their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup campaign.

The Windies Women with one win so far are third in Group B on 2 points. England (6) and South Africa (6) are the teams from Group B who have qualified for the semi-finals.
