Members of the media fraternity are expressing fond memories of veteran journalist, David Ebanks, who passed away last evening after a long illness.

Mr Ebanks worked for IRIE FM News and was based in Kingston, for over 20 years.

His career in journalism saw him covering parliament and several national events.

Veteran broadcaster, Faye Ellington fondly remembers Mr Ebanks as a warm person who was her go-to dance partner.

Ms. Ellington adds that Mr Ebanks also contributed significantly to parliamentary reporting in Jamaica

Meanwhile, former News Director at IRIE FM, Gerry Lemonius says he is shocked at the news of the death of Mr Ebanks and remembers him as the consummate parliamentary reporter.
