UWI Mona examinations scheduled for June / July

by April 6th, 2020

The University of the West Indies, Mona, will be moving its lessons to online platforms when classes resume on April 14, with students also set to sit their examinations via online means.

The announcement was made by Principal, Professor Dale Webber, at the weekend.

Speaking at an online town hall meeting, Professor Webber said classes will resume as planned following the suspension of lessons on March 14.

The UWI Principal noted that the university will be facilitating internet access for those students who face challenges.

In the meantime, Professor Webber noted that consistent with the one month push back of teaching, the university has pushed back the examination period until June 15 to July 3.

He said examinations will mainly be done using methods such as course work, take home assignments and projects.

He added that with the unpredictability of the covid-19 pandemic, the university is not yet sure if it will be having summer school in the normal manner.
