Roots and Culture Reggae singer Chezidek continues to send powerful messages through music with the release of ‘Because I’m Black’ the first single from his upcoming album, Hello Africa.

Chezedek tells Music News that the track produced by his Cheziberry Records was inspired by the injustices and oppression black people continue to undergo worldwide. He further laments that as a rastaman, he believes it is a part of his duty to enlighten and uplift the masses using music.

‘Because I’m Black’ is the lead single from Chezedek’s 11th studio album, Hello Africa that will be distributed by independent powerhouse label, Tads Records.

The 13-track album will be released on July 23 in commemoration of the birth of Hailie Selassie.
