Hip hop producer Swizz Beatz has hinted that a Jamaican version of the popular music beat battle the, ‘Verzuz’ experience, is being considered.

In an Instagram Live preview of Lila Ike’s new EP, Swizz Beatz in responding to Protoje who shared that Jamaicans have been loving the Verzuz battles, said, “we coming to Jamaica soon with Verzuz so be ready.”

Kartel vs Mavado, Shaggy vs Sean Paul, Protoje vs Chronixx, or Popcaan vs Alkaline; which two entertainers would you want to see in a Jamaican Verzuz battle?

The Verzuz music battles have become a staple on Instagram Live, after Swizz Beatz and Timbaland started the tune for tune quarantine battle on March 25.

Since then, the Verzuz battles have hit record views online, with a Babyface vs Teddy Riley battle that resulted in Instagram issuing a statement about the technical difficulties due to a high volume of traffic, and last week, the first female battle between Jill Scott and Erykah Badu hit more than one billion impressions across all social media platforms and the worldwide web.

Tonight’s (May 16) Verzuz battle will see rappers Ludacris vs Nelly go tune for tune.
