by June 1st, 2020

Some Jamaican entertainers will be sharing their talents on Sunday, for another Jamaican produced, multi-platform digital concert in aid of COVID-19 relief funds.

The digital concert dubbed ‘Friends Unite For JA’ is being organized by the American Friends of Jamaica (AFJ), a not-for-profit organization, dedicated to supporting Jamaican charities in the areas of education, healthcare, and human and economic development.

According to the AFJ, proceeds from the ‘Friends Unite For JA,’ concert will go directly to Jamaica’s COVID-19 relief, to include food security, aid for the vulnerable impacted by job loss and school closures, as well as the purchasing of personal protective equipment (PPEs) for distribution in communities.

Pre-recorded performances by Beenie Man, Busy Signal, and Chris Martin, have already been facilitated, and produced by Tuff Gong International, at the Tuff Gong Studios in Kingston. Other entertainers expected for the performance stream are Skip Marley, Sister Nancy, and Lila Ike.

The global live stream telecast for the ‘Friends Unite Ja’, is scheduled to be streamed on Sunday, June 7th, at 5 pm eastern.
