Christopher Martin to perform at virtual benefit concert

by June 24th, 2020

Reggae singer Christopher Martin will be flexing his musical voice for a special virtual benefit concert dubbed, ‘Keep Music Alive.’

The first in a series of events for a ‘Keep Music Alive Campaign’ in New York City, the kickoff concert is being put together by New York-based, Education Through Music, a non-profit organization that reaches nearly 36,000 students across 70 schools in New York City, by providing the resources needed to give students the high-quality music they deserve.

The virtual benefit concert aims to raise money to combat systematic inequality in the school system and to lessen the burden of the forthcoming education budget cuts related to the Coronavirus shutdown. The concert and summer-long campaign will also be seeking to raise awareness about the need and impact of music education.

Christopher Martin is expected to perform virtually on the Education Through Music (ETMonline) Instagram Live, tomorrow, Thursday, June 25, between the hours of 6-7 pm eastern time, 5-6 pm Jamaican time.
