COVID-19 bars Calabash Literary Festival

The organizers of the Calabash International Literary Festival, have announced that the 2020 staging has been rescheduled due to the continued effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Via Instagram, organizers of the Calabash Festival wrote, “With so much that still remains uncertain at this time, we’ve decided that later will be greater for our Calabash family and the Treasure Beach community.”

The Calabash Festival was originally set for May 29 – 31 in Treasure Beach, St Elizabeth.

The new date is slated for May 28 – 31, 2021.

The Calabash International Literary Festival was founded in 2001 by novelist Colin Channer, poet Kwame Dawes, and Justine Henzell.
