by July 3rd, 2015

The Jamaica Teachers Association (JTA) says it is awaiting a formal response from The Finance Minister, after the parties met earlier this week to continue wage negotiations.

The JTA is seeking to improve on the 7% wage increase offered by government, which it has rejected.

The JTA met with Finance Minister, Dr Peter Phillips on Wednesday.

JTA President Doran Dixon, told IRIE FM News that the group is awaiting an official response from The Minister.
