The Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ) says Jamaica remains on course to realise Vision 2030.

Vision 2030 is a plan of the government based on several planks to improve the state of the country, to make the country the place to do business, live and raise families.

It is aimed at making Jamaica a developed state.

There have been several questions raised about the country realising the dream, in light of several obstacles.

Deputy Director General of The PIOJ, Everton McFarlane says the current arrangement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), will not derail the country’s ambition

Mr McFarlane says the IMF programme is just one plank of a more elaborate programme.
