Jamaica Festival Song 2020 Album makes iTunes Reggae Albums Chart

The 2020 Jamaica Festival Song Album dubbed ‘Jamaica Festival 2020 Song Competition,’ has made its way to the Top 15 on the iTunes Reggae Albums Chart.

An elated Minister of Entertainment Culture, Gender and Sport, Olivia Grange shared the news on Wednesday morning, noting that it was a fantastic achievement, as the people behind the music will be able to earn.

This year’s Jamaica Festival Song finalists features a number of established reggae entertainers, a move spearheaded by Minister Grange to re-energize the annual competition.

Among the finalists are Buju Banton, Freddie McGregor, Toots and the Maytals, Papa Michigan, Shuga, and L.U.S.T.

Due to the constraints of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Jamaica Festival Song Competition is being staged virtually and featured a live performance show last Sunday which attracted thousands of viewers.

Following the show, voting lines were open and will remain open for this entire week, until a winner is announced on Sunday, July 26.
