Road Fatalities Reach 200

The number of Jamaicans killed in motor vehicle crashes this year has reached the 200 mark.

This is according to the latest data from the National Road Safety Council (NRSC).

A total of 181 people were killed in motor vehicle crashes over the similar period last year.

A breakdown of the NRSC data shows that 39 people were killed on the streets of Kingston and St Andrew, 31 in Westmoreland, 25 in St Catherine, 20 in Clarendon and 18 in St Ann.

St Thomas recorded the fewest road deaths with two followed by Portland with four.
