National Security Minister, Peter Bunting, says St. James saw a 77% spike in murders for the first six months of the year.

With well over six hundred people being murdered across the country, St James is leading the other 18 police divisions with over 130 murders.

This has led the Police High Command to deploy some two hundred police officers, and implement curfews in some communities, in an attempt to curb the killings.

The National Security Minister says while other parishes are seeing a decline in certain crimes, st james is showing increases in crime across the board.
