Tributes continue to come in for former government minister, Dr. Donald Keith “D.K” Duncan, who died at the University Hospital of the West Indies, in St. Andrew this morning.

He was 80 years old.

Dr. Duncan had been critically ill in hospital, arising from Covid-19 complications.

In a tribute, Opposition Leader and President of the People’s National Party (PNP) Dr. Peter Phillips said he was a true revolutionary, who dedicated his life to the liberation struggle.

Noting that Dr. Duncan gave over sixty years to the citizens of Jamaica, through the PNP, Dr. Phillips stated that his passing represents not only a great loss to the party, but to Jamaica’s progressive movement.

Meantime, Prime Minister Andrew Holness, also expressed sadness at Dr. Duncan’s passing.

He noted that Dr. Duncan was known for his commitment and service to his country.

He has expressed condolences to Dr. Duncan’s wife, children and colleagues.

And, following the announcement of his death, Patricia Duncan Sutherland posted a message in tribute to her father.

She thanked him for a life well lived, a legacy of strength, and his love.
