Jamaica records 53 new covid-19 cases

The country recorded 53 confirmed covid-19 cases in the past 24-hours, pushing the tally to 9, 634.

 

The Health and Wellness Ministry says of the confirmed cases, 20 were males and 33 were females, with ages ranging from 17 to 62 years.

 

Kingston and St. Andrew had the most cases with 17. St. Catherine follows with 14, St. James had 8, Manchester saw 4 cases, and St. Ann had 3.

 

Hanover recorded 2 cases, while St. Elizabeth, St. Mary, St. Thomas, Trelawny, and Westmoreland had one case each.

 

Meantime, 49 persons have recovered from the virus.

 

Sixty-eight peoples are hospitalized, with 12 being moderately ill and 5 being critically ill.

 

No covid-19 related death was recorded in the past 24 hours.
