Education minister Fayval Williams says the government has received more than 100 million dollars in commitments from corporate Jamaica for the provision of tablets and other devices for students.

The commitment comes as the Education Ministry has undertaken several initiatives to ensure that students are able to connect with online learning in the midst of the COVID 19 pandemic.

Speaking at the handing over of tablets at the Denham Town Primary School on Friday, Ms Williams noted that donations have been made through various channels.

She said assistance is also being offered by the Jamaican diaspora.
