by November 23rd, 2020

Which Reggae or Dancehall entertainers will score a nomination for the Best Reggae album at the 2021 Grammys?

Though COVID-19 has dimmed the lights on entertainment events worldwide, despite the pandemic, a slew of Reggae and Dancehall albums and EPs were released.

From Buju Banton’s ‘Upside Down 2020’, to Protoje’s ‘In Search Of Lost Time’, or PopCaan’s ‘Fixtape’, to Lila Ike’s Ep ‘The ExPerience’, or Dre Island’s ‘Now I Rise’, to Toots and the Maytal’s ‘Got To Be Strong’ or Tarrus Riley’s ‘Healing’, 2020 saw the release of several albums and EPs.

However, as is customary, only five entertainers will be selected in the Best Reggae Album category to vie for the coveted title.

Nominations for the 2021 Grammys will be announced on Tuesday, November 24, ahead of the 63rd Grammy Awards that is slated to take place on January 31.

The Grammys is an award presented by the Recording Academy to recognize achievements in the music industry.
