Finance Minister, Dr. Peter Phillips is to lead a five-member team To Beijing, China from September 9 to 15.

The Minister and his team will be holding talks with government and private sector leaders with a view of luring business leaders from that country to expand into Jamaica to increase the country’s foreign direct investments.

Information Minister, Senator Sandrea Falconer says Dr Phillips and his team will also review its existing loan agreement with the Chinese government.

Among those who will accompany The Finance Minister are head of the IMF’s Coordination and Implementation Unit in The Finance Ministry, Judith Green, Financial Secretary, Devon Rowe, Managing Director of The Development Bank of Jamaica, Milverton Reynolds and Technical Advisor in the Finance Ministry, Helen Mcintosh.
