Dancehall deejay Tommy Lee Sparta will have to remain behind bars, at least until February 3, after his bail was denied this week.

The deejay, who is facing charges of illegal gun and ammunition possession, was represented by attorneys Donahue Martin and Tom Tavares-Finson QC. The Spartan deejay and his attorneys are expected to make a bail application next month.

Tommy Lee Sparta was nabbed by police on December 14 and has been in custody since. Reports are that the police reportedly found a firearm in his possession.
