US Ambassador to Jamaica, Luis Moreno says he wants the nation’s children to be steered clear of the illegal lottery scam.

He is urging greater efforts from the Jamaican government to engage the nation’s children in a campaign against the dangerous illegal lottery scam in order to eradicate the wholesale practice across the country.

He says the illegal lottery scam, which was birthed in Montego Bay, St James several years ago, is now destroying the fabrics of both Jamaica and the United States.

Ambassador Moreno reiterates that the illegal lottery scam is not a case of robbing the rich to feed the poor.

He was delivering the keynote address at the Business Expo and Trade Show of The Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, yesterday (October 09, 2015).
