According to the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office arrest report online, Comedian Majah Hype is out on bail after spending only a night behind bars.

The arrest report further revealed that Majah Hype was released minutes after one this morning from the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia.

The news flooded social media platforms on Thursday night following reports of his arrest at around 9:39 pm for alleged felony kidnapping charges, one count of simple battery, and felony terroristic threats.

Information from the arrest report that has since been making the rounds on the internet, revealed that the popular comedian, whose name is Joseph Nigel Theron, was born in New York, and not the Caribbean. It also showed that he has the name Kirby tattooed on his right arm, along with his stage name, Maja Hype.

The arrest report also showed that his bond amount is US$16,720.

Meanwhile, no details have been made public regarding the identity of the complainant.

Majah Hype who is separated from his wife Kirby following a public split last year, has not yet commented on the saga. According to his latest Instagram post, he’s gearing up for a comedy show that will see him performing in Atlanta, February 13 and 14.
