Agri minister lauds farmers for resilience during drought

by February 26th, 2021

Minister of Agriculture Floyd Green has noted that farmers have been affected by the effects of climate change long before it was a topical issue.

While speaking at a ceremony to commission into service an irrigation facility in southern Clarendon, Mr. Green said farmers have been affected by longer periods of drought and intense periods of rain.

The minster also noted that despite the challenges of climate change Jamaican farmers are doing well.
