by March 12th, 2021

Barbadian allrounder Jason Holder has been sacked as West Indies team ahead of the start of the regional side two test series against Sri-lanka on March 21 at the Sir Viv Richards stadium in Antigua.

Kraigg Braithwaite who led the Windies to an inspirational away series win over Bangladesh last month has been recommended by the selectors and await ratification by the board of directors.

Andre Baptiste of I-95 radio in Trinidad tells us more.

In 2015 Holder was named as the captain of the West Indies test team side for the tour to Sri lanka when he became the second youngest test captain of all time for the West Indies.

In 37 matches as captain Holder won 11 times losing 21 and drew five.

He has been under mounting criticism recently especially from legendary West Indies players including Sir Andy Roberts.
