Mavado’s teenage son, Dante Brooks has been sentenced to life in prison for the 2018 murder of Lorenzo Thomas.

The 18-year-old must serve 22 years before he’s eligible for parole.

He was also sentenced to 15 years for arson and 20 years for illegal possession of a firearm.

Meanwhile, his co-accused Andre Hinds has also been sentenced to life in prison for the murder and will not be eligible for parole before 17-years. Hinds was also sentenced to 15 years each for arson and illegal possession of a firearm.
