Government will be allocating $2 m to each of the country’s 63 constituencies to aid citizens during the 3 weekends of lock down.
The announcement was made by Finance Minister Dr. Nigel Clarke, as he closed the budget debate, today.
He said the monies will be disbursed via the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) as of April 1.
The temporary lock downs begin this weekend, then over the Easter holidays, and the following weekend.
The tighter curfew measure forms part of efforts to curb spread of the coronavirus.
