Hanging in the balance!

The second and final test between the West Indies and Sri Lanka was interesting poised at stumps on Tuesday’s second day (30/3/2021) at the Sir Viv Richards Stadium in Antigua.

This as Sri Lanka closed on 136 for 3 in response to the West Indies first innings score of 354 all out.

Lahiru Thirimane is the topscorer so far with 55 while Dinish Chandimal was on 34 not out and with him was Dhanajya da Silva uneaten on 23.

Captain Dimuth Karunarate fell for one and Oshado Fernando for 18.

There is a wicket each so far for Kyle Mayers, Kemar Roach and Alzari Joseph.

Earlier Captain Kraig Brathwaite completed his 9th test century as the West Indies resuming on their overnight 287 for 7 added 67 runs for the remaining three wickets.

Brathwaite who came back on 99 went on to score 126 before he was last man out.

He became 5th on the all time most runs list of West Indies test opening batsmen.

Rakeem Cornwall who was 43 overnight completed his second straight half century before he was out for 73.

Kemar Roach made 9 while the not out batsman was Shannon Gabriel on 1.

Suranga Lakmal finished as the Sri Lankan top bowler 4 for 94.

Scores so far West Indies 354, Sri Lanka 136 for 3.
