Man arrested in connection to missing Clarendon teacher case

Police have taken into custody the brother of a man who was fatally shot on Saturday when officers recovered the vehicle belonging to missing Clarendon teacher Natalie Dawkins.

 

It’s understood that the man was arrested today.

 

The man’s brother, 22 year old Jeff Bedward, is believed to be a suspect in relation to the disappearance of the Clarendon teacher.

 

Bedward was killed during the police operation in St. Catherine on April 3.

 

Another man escaped and remains on the run.

 

A gun was recovered during the operation.

 

Meantime, the police say the search for the missing teacher continues.

 

The search is underway in Green Pond, Sandy Bay, Clarendon.

 

The 44 year old grade three teacher has been missing since Tuesday, March 30.
