5 more COVID 19 deaths have been recorded. The country’s death tally is now 784.
The deceased are all females, a 95-year-old from Trelawny, two from St Catherine aged 93 and 83, a 95-year-old from Westmoreland and an 83-year-old from St Thomas.
Meantime, there were 90 new cases on Saturday, pushing the country’s case count to 45 thousand 867.
The 51 females and 39 males range in age from 2 days to 95 years.
A parish breakdown of the new cases shows Kingston and St Andrew with the highest number 18, followed by St Mary with 12.
St Catherine 10, Hanover and St James each have 9, Manchester 6, Portland, St Ann and St Thomas 5 each, Clarendon, Trelawny and Westmoreland 3 each and St Elizabeth 2
The positivity rate is 12 .7 percent. 213 persons are hospitalised, 22 are critically ill and 14 are moderately ill.
140 persons have recovered putting recoveries at 21 thousand 293. Active cases stand at 23 thousand 452.
