A man is in police custody following the death of a 4-year-old boy, who was reportedly badly beaten with a stick.

The child has been identified as Nashaun Brown of Willowdene in Spanish Town, St. Catherine.

Senior Communications Strategist, of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, Dennis Brooks told Irie FM News that the child was reportedly beaten for “eating slowly” and was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital, yesterday (July 19).
